A Man Called Ove was so brilliantly written that now I don’t what to do with my emotional heart.
This book pointed out the problems with the people of this generation so accurately and so hilariously that even my family agreed with his opinions when I told them about Ove. And trust me when I say they hardly ever agree so smoothly on anything!
Ove was kind of a bitter-sweet character, and also an intriguing one. He was not the type of character you’d find in every other book. Ove could be a grumpy man, but he can be lovable too if you choose to understand him.
Apart from Ove, the characters around him were equally as intriguing as him too but exactly in the other ways. The whole book was absolutely comical and delightful. This book is now amongst my list of favorites,
I wish I could give this book way more than 5 stars because 5 stars sounds too small for this entertaining novel. A 5 out of 5 stars especially for the grumpy old man called Ove.
My favorite quote: Death is a strange thing. We fear it, yet most of us fear more than anything that it may take someone other than ourselves."
This book is about the old grumpy man called Ove and his journey through life. It’s about how he ends up with a lot of new friends in just a few days after an unfortunate incident interrupts his simple and smooth life. He learns to start living his life rather than just surviving through it, slowly but surely with the help of his new peculiar friends.
