I did not expect to love Catwoman as much as I do right now. I had kept my love for the writing of Sarah J Maas from her previous books aside before picking this book up, expecting it to disappoint me, because one author just cannot write so many good books in a row. But I am so glad it couldn’t!
I am among those few people who just couldn’t and didn’t want to get into the fandoms of superhero comics like DC Icons and Marvel. Oh heck, I didn’t even know Bruce was the real name of BATMAN! That’s how much I didn’t know about super heroes and heroines. But that changed after I read Catwoman by Sarah J Maas. Even though I’m not an expert on Batman, I do know the basics, and that’s a big deal. Now, about the story. The main lead, Selina Kyle; was such a badass! And so were her partners in crime Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn. In fact, all the characters in this book were. And as I was newly introduced to ‘The Joker’ everyone kept talking about, I finally figured out why some people liked this cruel character so much. It’s because he’s witty. This book didn’t exactly work out as their favorite for some, but for me it worked out positively and I LOVED IT. This book had all the thrill and action a suspenseful story like this should have, and it entertained me thoroughly. It had an entertaining storyline and the twists made the book hard to put down. I’ll give this ‘puuuurrrrrrrfect’ book a 4.5 out of 5 stars. 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟
