Book Review for: It Ends With Us by Colleen Hoover

This book truly touched my heart. Everything was cliché in the beginning of It Ends With Us and I absolutely loved it, but things slowly got very heart breaking and emotional. It pointed out the issue of domestic violence and the devastation after it.

I liked the way the writer described how and why the main lead couldn’t leave when she wanted to from the violence, and why it’s always the woman who gets questioned about why she didn’t leave in these situations while the man never gets asked why he gets abusive. I got a lot of answers to the questions I always asked whenever I saw someone being domestically abused.

Though I can’t skip the fact that I did feel quite awkward while reading through the intimate scenes after every 5 chapters in half of the book. I loved Colleen Hoover’s intricate writing style and its friendliness. You should totally read this if you’re 18 plus and you want to read something different. 5/5 stars.

There were SO many quotes which I totally loved but if I had to choose, it’ll be the quote: “There is no such thing as bad people. We’re all just people who sometimes do bad things.”

AND I couldn’t skip this: “In the future... if by some miracle you ever find yourself in the position to fall in love again... fall in love with me.” HOW CUTE! You’ll know what I mean when you read the book.
