Book Review for: The Grateful Manor Horror by Duncan McKinlay

Okay so firstly I’ll start off with sharing what I liked about The Grateful Manor Horror. I liked the fact that it was gripping, it had the right amount of horror and it had the right amount of demons. The main characters were horrifyingly cruel which made the frightening parts of the books pop up even more.

What I didn’t like at all was all the unnecessary voluptuous and incestuous scenes, it was just too much and it completely ruined the good parts of the book. I would’ve loved this book very much if the author hadn’t included those excessive information and scenes. But apart from that, it was an interesting book.

The story starts from the time when a 16 year old girl gives birth to a demon’s child and her horrible life experiences afterwards. She wrote a diary about her experiences and warned her successors about the demon living in their Manor. 400 years later the heir of the manor got her hands on the diary and got in an unnerving attempt to find out if the diary had any truths in it or not

I’d give it a 2.5 out of 5 stars.
