Book Review for: When Dimple Met Rishi by Sandhya Menon

The book When Dimple Met Rishi was so sweet I literally tasted sugar in my mouth, or it was probably from the chocolate I ate earlier. But that doesn’t matter, what matters is how cute this story actually is.

It reminded me of the giddiness I used feel in the tip of my stomach when I used to watch romantic movies in my younger teen years, I just couldn’t stop the feeling and I just couldn’t make myself comprehend that I’m too old to feel so childishly giddy now. Even though I love the confident, witty type of guys in books, I absolutely adored the sweet and shy Rishi who had this hopeless romantic attitude that I never thought a guy could ever have, ever. This book also made me realize that men have hopes and dreams too, not only women. Something goes in their brains too, but we never stop to consider or even acknowledge it.

I’m giving it a 5/5 stars.

This story is about two people with two totally different dreams and ambition meeting each other because of their parents. Even after trying a lot to not fall in love, they eventually do and then things happen. It’s almost like a cute Bollywood movie and it’s a super light read.

My favorite quote: “But that was Rishi... he was like a pop song you thought you couldn't stand, but found yourself humming in the shower anyway.”
